Our School Profile

Mount Waverley North Primary School is the centre of a vibrant, active and supportive school community with strong parental involvement. The School strives to prepare its students to thrive in tomorrow's world as effective global citizens. We offer a challenging, meaningful and authentic curriculum in an environment of care, collaboration, enterprise and mutual respect. Developing social competence is a priority, with a developing whole school approach to student learning and wellbeing. Mount Waverley North Primary School promotes the value of living sustainably through coordinated programs and practices that educate the school community about environmental awareness and responsibilities. Mount Waverley North’s student population is 230, 17.4 equivalent full-time (EFT) staff, including a Principal and an Assistant Principal, 12.2 (EFT) teachers and 4.2 (EFT) Education Support Staff.


Mount Waverley North Primary School's motto is 'Aspire, Believe, Achieve', and its prime focus is to enable its students to achieve success, particularly in numeracy and literacy, develop a strong feeling of confidence and self-worth and develop skills that enable them to contribute positively to society.

A strong emphasis on a developmental approach to Literacy and Numeracy, along with outstanding specialist programs, are supported by a range of engaging and enriching school programs and extra-curricular activities both within and beyond the classroom. Mount Waverley North promotes academic excellence and creativity, recognising the importance of educating the ‘whole child’.


Mount Waverley North boasts an abundance of spacious, contemporary and flexible learning spaces. We have a strong commitment to embedding Digital Technologies throughout our curricular areas. Interactive Whiteboards and Apple TVs are present in all levels across the school. The school grounds provide students with fun, safe and varied play spaces. A successful Outside School Hours Care program and facility is popular with families and complements our school provided Breakfast Club. Mount Waverley North Primary School has a Chaplain who attends our school two days a week, providing support to our students, parents and staff.
